I KNOW. I KNOW. Sam didn't even die FOR DEAN, and yet Dean refused to leave his side and was extra protective around his Sammy after he came back.

I mean, with the exception of The Mystery Spot, it's always been clear that Dean needs Sammy more than vice-versa (just because Dean has FAR MORE abandonment issues than his brother, omg) but... I was kinda disappointed. I mean, I trust in Kripke to explain this but... Sam doesn't even know or care that Dean goes missing in this episode (if he really does. Castiel says Sam isn't looking for him, after all, but then he wakes up in the same place, so...) and what if something bad had happened to him? Some demon wanting revenge, or Dean HAVING NIGHTMARES OF HELL and needing his brother to sex him up comfort him?

Dean was so hovery in AHBL2, and then Dean's back from HELL and all he gets is a hug and a 'don't wait up'?

The FUCK, Sam?

Man even Azazel told Dean, "You need them, more than they need you."

But Sam and Dean grew together So MUCH in S2 and 3, in S3 Sam was beyond willing to do anyhting to save his brother. And now all of a sudden, Dean's back...who cares?

He was so broken after 'Mystery Spot', 6 months without Dean, and then Dean comes back after 4 months and Sam just vanishes with Ruby without a second thought?

If this doesn't get explained in a "Have to do this so Dean can NEVER EVER LEAVE EVER ME AGAIN EVER", then maybe, but he needs to STOP ABANDONING DEAN FOR RUBY 2.0 >.<

Hopefully next episode Dean shoves the knife in her back, or she vanishes for a lot of episodes. Because she is frankly annoying the fuck outta me.

actually, I agree with this so much, even though I've loved this season so far (are we seriously only THREE episodes in?) I have had a bit of a niggling annoyance with Sam's reaction (or lack thereof) to Dean's return. My sister and I have decided to believe (a.k.a 'bury our heads in the sand') that Sam is so completely broken by Dean's death that he's gone a bit mad. Hence hanging out with whoever that is who's pretending to be Ruby...

He is human, and he is scare. He knows what Dean thinks about his psiquic powers, and Ruby. Dean sees the world in black and white, and Sam is too grey for him to understand.

wth, when was that? They hugged after Sam died, checked he was ok, and that was it. And Dean died 4 months ago, Sam had time to mourn. Wait till the episode in Sam POV of that time before you say something like this. He tryed to open the hell's gates for his brother (you know, condem the entire WORLD), he tryed to sell his own soul.

I don't think he needs one. If you want to turn Sam into a villain, nothing I'll say, or the series say, is going to make any difference.
