Top 5 Fic-Favourites

I felt like doing this to cheer myself up.

The Rules: Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.

1. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas: A look at Winchester Christmases past, present and future. [Supernatural fandom]
I adore this story because it came so easily. I wrote 10,000+ words in about 3 days give or take for my first ever [livejournal.com profile] spn_holidays. I wish more of my stories flowed this easily, and the sex scene in this one is hands down my best work. This also marks the first time writing NC-17 felt 100% completely natural \o/
I had a lot of fun writing this.

2. Family Getaway: After being mistaken for a feuding couple fighting over child custody. Max and White are forced into parenting classes together and sent on a Family Retreat workshop with other couples and their kids. They thought it couldn’t get any worse...
This is my favourite [Dark Angel fandom] story that I wrote. It was another that flowed together really well. Even though I hate the very minor OC villain side story, I love how Max, White, and Ray turned out. The humour was easy, the characters cooperated, and I made a lot of people laugh. On one of the DA messege boards I had 10 pages of comments, which blew my mind.

3. Crossroads: What if Jack and Elizabeth had met before? Before Port Royal, before the Wench became the Pearl… [Pirates of the Carribean fandom]
I adore fics where characters meet pre-series. I wrote the 7,000 words of this very quickly, and the fic turned out great. I like adding subtle elements to my work whenever I can, and foreshadowing of canon events, and I think those things worked the best in this fic. And the second chapter when it's revealed to their future selves that they had met before, is another I love reading in other fics. This story is just...special to me.

4. Under the Unconquerable Night: What if Dylan had gone back to Hephaistos? Alternate version of Through A Glass, Darkly [Andromeda fandom]
I absolutely hated S5's "Through A Glass, Darkly". Hated. It. They had a great concept and could have done SO MUCH with the episode but it was just another waste of time in the plot hole ladden trainwrck that was S5.
I wrote this fic to make myself feel better, and to give my version of what should have happened. Dylan should have known what Gaheris did for him at Hephaistos, he should have seen the last events of S3's "The Unconquerable Man", so that is exactly what I did in this fic. I fixed it. Fuck canon, my version is better. And anyone reading this can tell how much bitterness I still hold towards 'Andromeda'.
To understand why this story means so much to me, you have to be familiar with the character of Gaheris Rhade, his treachery and the ultimate redemption that made him a hero. And Dylan, who was hurt most by Rhade's betrayal deserved to know who he really was in the end.

Happy Birthday Obi-Wan: With his birthday approaching, all Obi-Wan wants to do is get drunk and be miserable while Anakin wants to have a party. [Star Wars fandom]
I love this story because I adore fics that deal with the age difference between Anakin and Obi-Wan, and how that makes Obi-Wan feel. During this fic I just wanted to cuddle Obi-Wan, and Anakin came up with a great birthday present to make him feel better about his age in the end;) This story wrote easy (do we see a theme with these five fics?), and just made me really happy to get out.

Not tagging anyone, do it if you want.
