I've never been to the boards, those are scary places. But I'm with you on the fic. I can't read S4 fic. I just...can't do it for some reason. I got through one, but I prefer fics that don't have anything to do with canon.
The SRS BIZNIZ makes me sad too. Show is make believe, it's not real, it's not supposed to be taken so seriously.
I've even stopped really caring about the Sam/Ruby aspect because there's no point really. How is that more disturbing than Dean/Castiel fics or Sam/Dean non-con or Lolita, Summer of Sam, Saw, Halloween 2007, any movie by Rob Zombie?
It's all fake, and Kripke will do what he wants to do. It's just like JKR telling people to screw off, she'll write Harry Potter how she wants to write it.
Fic writers want creative freedom to delve into whatever topic they want, so why can't SPN be given the same freedom?
