Just because he has a history doesn't mean he should have lied his ass off to Dean, and went sneaking off on him after he sold his soul, died, and literally went to HELL for Sam.
After Sam died Dean was hovery and protective, Sam just...doesn't seem to care.
He's also about to destroy all the trust Dean has in him.
