Yaaay! Happy PRE-Halloween ;)
I love Halloween. I always have.
Like seriously, ridiculously, stupidly love Halloween.
Or as I like to call it: "National Take-Candy-From-Strangers Day"
I love the costumes, and the candy, and the decorations. When I'm out living on my own I know Halloween will be the 'holiday' I spend the most on second only to Christmas.
I enjoy giving out candy by the handful. None of this 'one chocolate bar each' thing. I give it away by the fistful :D
What else can I tell you?
1. Carrie. And I'm talking the original 1976 Sissy Spacek Carrie.Don't give me that bullshit 2002 TV remake, I cannot trash it enough. This movie is a classic.
2. Trick 'r Treat. I cannot praise this movie enough. I watched it for Anna Paquin originally, but I got so much more out of it. It is deliciously delightful, interesting, scary, and at times, even funny (IMO).
3. The Saw Septology. I will admit that I like Saw. Even at its grossest, I still think it's one of the only truly "smart" horror films. Amid all the blood and gore there is a plot that drives the violence. And I love all the "reveals" at the end.
Since the year Paint!Winchesters debuted in 2006, there has been an annual Halloween Paint!Winchester comic. That is the one day that a comic can basically be guaranteed to happen ^.^
When I first did a Halloween comic I thoguht it was fun, and Supernatural's theme of monsters, ghosts, demons, and ghouls just lends itself to this. SPN is sort of like the ultimate Halloween story in a way. So why not make Halloween
paint_spn's annual "holiday"?
But I'll admit that I nearly forgot this year! SHHHHHHHHH!
Yesterday the thought hit me at random that "OMG YOU NEED A HALLOWEEN COMIC!", and I remembered that it was an annual thing! So after trying to think of some scenarios, dismissing others, plotting out another that ultimately wouldn't work. I came up with something that I like.
I was all: "That'll do brain. That'll do." :D
Now I just have to have it done for October 31st.
I also decided to give my LJ a Halloween theme this year!
