Pirates of the Carribean 2
Worthy sequel. Among the very few in moveiedom I still love the screenwriters of PotC.
And now here be SPOILERS.
Complete and utter Spoilers
I RUIN EVERYTHING. So if you haven't seen it, you will ruin the movie if you read this.
That damn monkey!
lol, so it climbed aboard Jack's ship. And that Jamaican lady he gave it too, loved her.
But where was Anamaria?!
Where did she go? Did she jump ship? Get tired of Jack? Did he get her her new ship? I would have liked to know!
And Will and Elizabeth's ruined wedding *cheers* Very good intro, filmed beautifully and I never liked them as a couple to begin with.
Glad to see Will with more of a spine though. And Bootstrap! I loved his introduction to everything. And noble Will has to go and promise to rescue him. The whole nobility thing. Then there's Jack ^^
Ooooh the Jack/Lizzie! Makes me squee with utter happiness. Jack pretty much proposing marriage, their almost kiss, and talk about doing the right thing. And her kiss of death. I knew she would do it and it did make sense. If the Kraken (sp?) and Davey weren't after him she would have gladly helped him into the long boat but they were and she and the others wouldn't be safe if he went with them.
God bless Keira for begging the writers to put in a J/E kiss so she could kiss Johnny. *snuggles Keira*
I always knew they had a thing between them. And the compass pointing to Jack when Lizzie had it, lmao. Excellent, excellent. I can't wait to hear the commentary for this film.
My only complaint to the kiss though was the filming shots weren't dead on, it was glimpses. I wanted a full on camera shot kiss!
lol, Will saw. lmao. Poor guy but you know what? He should forget about Elizabeth and shack up with Norrington.
Ahhh former-Commodore Norrington. He totally went to the Dark side and I liked it!
I also liked the Kraken. It was '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea', man! So I liked it!
And this is one of the VERY few movies that can pull crazy stunts and have me believe it. Climbing up a rock face in a cage, fighting on top of a moving wheel, and Jack falling down a cliff tied to a roasting spit, falling all that way and being okay.
After the wheel though, I adored how Will kept falling, getting up, falling. Just trying to charge in and 'save' Elizabeth while Niorrington went all sneaky Darth on everybody.
The Kraken vs. Black Pearl was great. lol, Will always takes charge. And Jack always comes back. Pirate but the guilt does knaw him at times when it involves his crew.
And the END!
Laughed my ass off when that lady-chick was talking about a Captain who knew the ends of the earth they'd have to travel.
lol, when the boots came down and Barbossa popped up? Reunited with his damn undead monkey! Good stuff, very, very good stuff. I'm looking forward to Geoffrey Rush leading things in the next film. Oooh the taste of a trilogy finale.
And based on a theme park ride.
